Tyler Simms
Music Teacher
Dr. Simms is the former Director of Bands at Henderson County High School and currently serves as Adjunct Porfessor of Music at Kentucky Wesleyan College.
Prior to these appointments, Dr. Simms maintained an extensive music studio in Cincinnati, OH serving both public school aged and adult students. Dr. Simms holds a Doctorate of Musical Arts. He has made several appearances with ensembles and festivals and has appeared as a featured guest artist with the Eastman Wind Ensemble. He can be heard as a trombone soloist on the Eastman Wind Ensemble's album Images: Music of Jef Tyzik. He co-released an album of art song transcriptions in 2015 entitled Songs Without Words, available on Apple Music, Spotify, and Amazon.
